The Chamber installed its slate of officers for 2017-2018 at its 62nd Annual Gala, held on April 7 at Galloping Hill Caterers. Members of the Board of Directors are a group of dedicated volunteers, representing a cross-section of local industries, who help the Chamber in its mission of serving as the voice of Union Township’s business community.
Elected each year, officers have ultimate responsibility for chamber operations, set policy, and guide direction. They also oversee and support proposed activities, events and projects that best serve the interests of members. The Chamber organizes monthly events, featuring well-known speakers, and networking opportunities, aimed at helping businesses grow, innovate, and achieve their potential.
The incoming Executive Board consists of:
• President: Angel Cartagena, Batteries Plus Bulbs
• Senior Vice President and Vice President, Finance: Eugene Mitchell, Investors Bank
• Vice President, Programming and Special Events: Sharon Patel, Patel Printing Plus
• Vice President, Community and Government Relation: Julie D’Aloia, ConnectOne Bank
• Vice President, Membership: Joseph Stampone, Major Printing
• Vice President, Economic Development: David Arminio, Union Township Historical Society
• Immediate Past President: Cecil Cates, CMIT Solutions
The Chamber Board welcomed new directors:

Also renewed for three-year terms were:
Laura Bretzger, City Fire Equipment Company; Peter Celia, Cozy Corner Deli & Catering; John Ferraz, Walgreen’s; James Strole, Chick-fil-A
