Union Announces Halloween Weekend 2022

OCTOBER 22nd THROUGH 23RD

The Township of Union’s Recreation Department and Police Department invites you to celebrate Halloween with them and enjoy a jam-packed weekend of frights and spooky fun. The celebration begins on Saturday, Oct. 22nd, with the Recreation Department’s Halloween Spooktacular featuring their Trunk-or-Treat & All Hallows Evening. The festivities conclude on Sunday, Oct. 23rd, with the Police Department’s Annual Trunk-or-Treat.

“The Halloween Spooktacular and UPD’s Trunk-or-Treat are both so successful, and they are events that community members look forward to year after year,” said Manuel Figueiredo, Mayor. “Between Trunk-or-Treat and the costume contest, these events are a great opportunity for the entire family to join in the spooky, scary Halloween fun.”

The weekend is set to include:

  • Sat, Oct. 22nd
    • 1 – 4pm | Trunk-or-Treat at Jefferson School Parking Lot (155 Vauxhall Rd)
      • Award for Most Creative Vehicle
    • 3 – 7pm | All Hallows Evening at Rabkin Park (1 Swanstrom Place East, Union)
      • DJ, Food Trucks, and Carnival Games
      • Costume Contest announced at 5pm
  • Sun, Oct. 23rd
    • 1 – 4pm | Trunk-or-Treat at Union Police Headquarters (981 Caldwell Avenue)

“Out of all the events that the departments host year after year, the Halloween Spooktacular is one of my favorites,” said Robert Cowper, Superintendent of Recreation. “Our team has coordinated with the Township to put on a great event for the community, and we’re looking forward to it!”

Vehicle registration is currently open for both Trunk-or-Treats. Those interested in participating on Oct. 22nd can register online via uniontownship.com/recreation, and on Oct. 23rd, can contact Staff Services at 908.851.5252. Spaces are limited and expected to fill up quickly.
