Tom Bintinger to be Honored at Annual Benefit

Friends of the Madison Public Library 

The Friends of the Madison Public Library (The Friends), a nonprofit organization, will honor Madison resident Tom Bintinger, President of the Library Board of Trustees, at its Annual Benefit to be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at the Madison Library. “Tom cares deeply about the Library and its mission to service the community, is supportive of innovation, and offers us visionary management of the Library’s funds for current and future sustainability,” said Lynn Favreau, Library Director.  

“I have collaborated with Tom Bintinger as a fellow Library Trustee volunteer and in other capacities for other non-profit organizations and have always been impressed with his dedication and professionalism,” said Pam Hogan, Chair of the Friends. “He joined the Board of Trustees in 2004 and has been its president for over ten years. I admire Tom’s steadfast commitment and his calm, encouraging, and optimistic attitude. He is truly an outstanding leader in our community.” 

All are invited to attend the May 21 Annual Benefit at the Library located at 39 Keep Street. Wine, beer, and a variety of delicious hors d’oeuvres catered by the Thursday Morning Club will be served. 

Invitations are being sent to Library patrons and are also available at the Library’s front desk. Admission is $50 per person. Checks should be made payable to Friends of the Madison Public Library and mailed to 39 Keep Street, Madison, NJ 07940, along with the RSVP card. Admission can also be purchased online at friendsmadisonnjlibrary.org.    

Proceeds from this event are used to support many special programs for children, teens, and adults and to expand streaming services and book and media collections. The Friends funds special programs, including the Library’s popular Museum Pass Program and sponsors Minicourses at Madison, an adult continuing education program.
