Madison Eagle Christmas Fund

Members of the Thursday Morning Club (TMC) continued their tradition of working with the Madison Eagle Christmas Fund (MECF) by shopping for the wish list items of Pine Acres Nursing Home residents. The nursing home director provided a list of residents’ specific requests, and financial support for the purchases was provided by donations made directly to the MECF from Madison residents, businesses, and organizations.

This year TMC members shopped for 17 Pine Acre residents, providing each with a warm blanket and all sorts of items requested, including Bluetooth headphones, costume jewelry, word search books, puzzles, war novels, and anything NY Giants. The gifts were placed in a colorful holiday bag for each resident and delivered to Pine Acres on Sunday, December 11.

This is just one of many activities and organizations the Thursday Morning Club supports to assist with needs in the community. Established in 1896, and a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs, the TMC has a long history of service while also providing women with the opportunity to socialize and establish friendships.
