Thursday Morning Club Scholarship Opportunity – Deadline March 18th

Scholarship opportunity

This spring, the Thursday Morning Club (TMC) will be awarding a scholarship to a graduating senior who has exhibited the Club’s motto, “I Serve”.  Applicants must be Madison residents and be attending any accredited high school or vocational school from which they expect to graduate in 2023 with the intent of continuing their education at a 2-year or 4-year college, vocational, or technical school. Financial need is not a consideration for eligibility.

Applicants need to provide examples of community service, including those required through school or church, but especially those services above and beyond required services. This scholarship, given in honor of George Burroughs, who served as the Madison Community House manager for over 25 years, is meant to exemplify the spirit of his service which was one of caring and sharing to all who visited the Community House.
