Timothy Ford Receives Rensselaer Scholarship

Clark Public Schools

Timothy Ford, Arthur L. Johnson High School Junior, recently earned a merit scholarship with a value of $30,000 per year through the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal Program. The Rensselaer Medal is a scholarship awarded to outstanding math and science students. High schools can nominate only one junior each year who excels in mathematics and science, and Tim was the Class of 2023 selection.

According to Rensselaer, a university based in Troy, New York, the medal was ”first presented in 1916 with two purposes: to recognize the superlative academic achievement of young men and women, and to motivate students toward careers in science, engineering, and technology.”

School Counselor Molly Cusick stated, “It is wonderful to see Tim recognized for his hard work with this prestigious award.”
