The Ladies of The Woman’s Club of Westfield Meet FDR

Guest Neil Hartley, as Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was welcomed recently by The Woman’s Club of Westfield during a general meeting of the club. Neil is a busy actor, director, spokesman and teacher and was able to bring FDR to life for the ladies. Our thirty-second President was an American, lawyer, politician and businessman who served as an United States Congressman for two terms before going on to become Our President for four terms. He led the country through The Great Depression and World War II.

FDR was stricken with polio in 1921, confined to a wheelchair but was able to overcome and lived by the words “The Only Thing we have to fear is fear itself.”
