The Woman’s Club of Westfield Makes Lunches For Those in Need

Members of The Woman’s Club of Westfield are busy making lunches to be distributed by the Bridges Organization to hungry adults and children. The  lunches are shared at meeting points under bridges and at shelters in Irvington, Newark, and New York City.

A group of WCW ladies along with volunteer friends meet the first Friday of every month at the Congregational Church in Westfield to make 200 bagged lunches each time that they meet. Each lunch contains a ham and cheese sandwich, juice drink, fruit cup, snack and dessert. This project has been supported for the last fifteen years with the help and charity of those who have given so freely of themselves.

New volunteers are welcomed warmly. For more information please write The Woman’s Club  of Westfield, P.O. Box 1157, Mountainside, NJ 07092.
