THE WARREN TOWNSHIP RECREATION COMMISSION 2017 SPRING AND CAMP PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

 For children, teens and adults in Warren, Green Brook, and Watchung.
Registration for camps will be open for Warren residents on April 11, 9am. Green Brook and Watchung registration begins May 23, 9am.
Playground Program
is held 9am-3pm at the Municipal Complex Pavilion and begin June 26 and run until July 28, T-F and at the Warren Brook Pool from 12-3pm every Monday, except for the first Monday which is a full day at camp. We welcome children entering 1st to 5thgrade in September. The fee for 5 weeks is $225. Warren residents register before May 22 receives a $25 early bird discount. Late fee of $25 begins June 13. Deadline for registration is June 19 or until it fills up.
Teen Camp
will be held 8:45am to 2:45pm and runs Monday-Friday full days. M-T at Roundtop Swim Club, W-F at WHRHS and begin June 26 until July 28.
We welcome teens entering 6th to 8th grade in September. The fee each week varies and includes a trip and special event. Warren residents register before May 22 receives a $10 early bird discount per week. Late fee of $25 begins June 13. Deadline for registration is June 19 or until it fills up.
Little Kids Camp
is from July 23 to August 4 from 9am to 1pm at the Municipal Complex Pavilion and is for children age 4 and 5. Activities will be similar to our playground program. Fee is $85 for the week.
Super Science Program for Kids called Science, Lego Building & Robotics
is for ages 6-12 and runs  from August 7 to 11 from 8:45am-2:45pm at Central School. Get ready for a fun-filled “magical” laboratory and Lego building experience. Science will come alive as you enjoy making Flubber, Silly Putty, Super Hi- Bounce balls, and more. Have fun making a “mushroom” monster, play dough, Glowing Goo, and even a tye-dye style shirt. Then challenge your building skill as you build a wide assortment of motorized and non-motorized Lego projects and invent a wide assortment of robots. Lego themes will include Star Wars, Friends, City, Nexo Knights, Minecraft, and more.
All campers will take home a mini- chemistry kit, recipe booklet as well as a Lego or robot project. Fee $195.
The Keynotes 50’s Night Concert:
Enjoy a night of Rock n Roll with Sal & Tony. Back by popular demand
June 28 from 7-9pm
at the Municipal Complex pavilion area. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Fr. James Russell Council # 11409 serving complimentary snacks and drinks. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and families. Rain date June 29 in the Municipal Court Yard.
NOTE:
The Recreation office will open in the New municipal building behind the present
building and will be on the first floor, first office on the right on February 15.
All offices will be closed Feb. 13-14
for the move.
