The Great Pumpkin Carve Out, Oct. 21

The Great Pumpkin Carve Out is a carved pumpkin contest (evening display) that will be held at Hanson House on Saturday, October 21st with a rain date of October 28th. The contest is open to all ages with cash awards given for funniest, scariest, and most original in age groups 4-8, 9-12, 13-17 and 18-adult. Drop off your creatively carved pumpkins from 10 -3 pm at Hanson Park, 38 Springfield Ave, Cranford on Saturday October 21st along with a completed registration form.
The carved pumpkins will be displayed at night on their own pedestals along the lighted garden pathways of Hanson Park, from 6-9 pm. In addition to the stroll, the 1954 camp classic movie “THEM!” sponsored by The Friends of the Cranford Library will bring atomically altered giant ants to Cranford, so bring you blankets for the show on a giant screen.
Registration forms are available at jcas.org before the event or the day of event at Hanson House from- 10am – 3pm.  Pumpkins can be picked up after the event.
