The Friends of CHS Gymnastics recently purchased a new spring floor for the Cranford High School gymnastics team. Formed in January 2016, the 501(c)(3) NJ non-profit organization set an original goal to raise $17,500 for the purchase of a new spring floor.
We are pleased to announce that the new floor was installed in August, in time for the 2016 season. The Friends of CHS Gymnastics would like to thank all the families and local businesses that made donations and helped in our fundraising efforts, in particular, The Cranford Jaycees and Investors Bank. Because of the amazing support from our community, the Friends of CHS Gymnastics was also able to purchase $2,000 in extra safety mats for the team. In addition, the Cranford Public Schools purchased a new springboard.
All of this new equipment will not only help the gymnasts reach their full potential; it limits the risk of injury. Staying healthy is a key component to the team’s success.
