The Fanwood-Scotch Plains College Club presents “#MeToo One Year Later”

The College Club of Fanwood-Scotch Plains welcomes Ms. Rosemary Gousman, Attorney at Law with Fisher & Phillps, LLP, to present a program entitled “#MeToo One Year Later.” High profile charges of sexual assault and harassment, and the resulting #MeToo movement have impacted the law and workplace. How have lawmakers and employers responded, and what will be the impact? Are there unintended consequences of the movement that might have a negative impact on women?

Ms. Gousman is currently the managing partner of the New Jersey office of Fisher & Phillips LLP. She received her BA, summa cum laude, from St. Peters College and her JD with honors from Rutgers School of Law. She has devoted her extensive career to the practice of labor and employment law. Her diverse practice included both litigation and counseling of employers. She lectures frequently on topics in employment law, including discrimination, sexual harassment, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), workplace privacy and social media, and many other related topics.

This program is open to the public, is free of charge and will take place on February 25, 2019 at The Fanwood Presbyterian Church, 74 South Martine Avenue, Fanwood (McDermott Street entrance) at 7:30 p.m. after a brief refreshment period.
