The City of Linden to hold Inaugural Latin Festival

The City of Linden Latin Festival Committee, a coalition of local groups, recently announced plans for a Latin Festival to be held Saturday, October 19 from 2 to 7 pm, at the Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade, which will be closed to traffic between Blancke Street and Elm Street, rain date is Sunday, October 20.

The City of Linden, Linden Department of Parks & Recreation, Uptown Linden and Linden’s Culture & Heritage Committee are principal sponsors of Latin Day Festival. Food, music, entertainment will be offered throughout the day.

At press time, plans for the event, includes two Latin bands, a Disc Jockey, authentic food vendors, beer and wine garden and Latin art vendors.

“I think people will be pleased with the entertainment that has been booked for the day and variety of ethnic food,” says Mayor Derek Armstead.
