Lions Club Installs New Officers
The Summit Lions Club was chartered in 1926. The club installed new officers on June 21, 2023, at La Focaccia Restaurant in Summit. The club’s main mission is to provide assistance to the visually impaired. Helen Keller challenged the Lions to become Knights of the Blind in her famous speech in 1925. Other club initiatives include hunger, environmental and pediatric cancer. There are over 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries around the world.
