Soviet Affairs Specialist to Hold Book Talk and Signing

The Summit Free Public Library is pleased to host Dr. Amy Knight for an in-person discussion of her upcoming book, The Kremlin’s Noose: Putin’s Bitter Feud with the Oligarch Who Made Him Ruler of Russia.

On Wednesday, May 15th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Dr. Knight will delve into the captivating story of Vladimir Putin’s rise to power and his complex relationship with Boris Berezovsky, the oligarch who once held immense influence in Russia. The Kremlin’s Noose, set to be released on May 15th, sheds new light on the tumultuous political landscape of Russia under Yeltsin and Putin. Dr. Knight’s exploration of this critical period helps us understand the factors that ultimately led to the demise of democracy in the nation.
