Strategies for Communicating Effectively with Your Child
The Clark Public School District recently shared a pre-recorded virtual Parent University session, “Strategies for Communicating Effectively with Your Child” hosted by School Counselor Sarah Badillo. The presentation shares helpful tips on how to engage your child in meaningful conversation that fosters positive self-esteem and builds relationships. Badillo stated, “As a parent and an educator, I know that effective communication with a child can be difficult at times but also very rewarding. When children know that we are truly listening we are setting them up for greater success. In creating this presentation, I hope that parents, grandparents, and educators can take away some tips to open the lines of communication with their child(ren) because the end result with be worth it.”
