SPF Honors Newly Tenured Teachers

Submitted by Pat Kane

On October 11, 2018, the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education recognized thirty-two teachers and five administrators on achieving tenure.

The district is very proud of its teachers. Teaching is the one profession that creates all the others. Teaching is complex, demanding, and essential work. It requires not only keen intellect, but also vast amounts of patience and resilience. Teachers must have boundless energy and be ever optimistic. Often the teacher hardly knows of their influence or impact on a student until years later, if then, but that influence or impact is the unspoken part of their calling.
