Scotch Plains Hosts Annual Columbus Day Celebration

2022 Columbus Day Celebration

The Scotch Plains Fanwood Chapter of UNICO and the Scotch Plains Italian American Club hosted a Columbus Day Celebration on Saturday, October 8th, 2022. The celebration of Italian heritage started at 10 a.m and was held at the Alan M. Augustine Village Green. Music and light refreshments were available to guests. The ceremony also featured brief overviews of Laura Swidersky and Dorianne Perrucci’s families experiences in Scotch Plains. The event concluded with the ceremonial laying of the wreath.
