Sophia’s Book Stand

Eager to help other children during the pandemic, Franklin second grader, Sophia Parekh, established an organization called Sophia’s Book Stand, which uses donations to help provide books to underprivileged families and classrooms. To date, she has given out 2,300 books. “I am making sure that all children have books to read and will love reading forever,” Sophia said during a segment that aired on the Drew Barrymore Show. Sophia appeared as a guest on the show on November 16th in recognition of her charitable efforts.
