WINTER SUPPORT GROUP – Fridays, through Feb. 22, 10:30-11:45 a.m. Winter months can be challenging for seniors. The holidays are over and post-holiday blues can set in for many. Bad weather may keep people stuck at home, and feelings of sadness, loneliness and isolation may surface. If you would like to explore these feelings and receive support, fellowship, and compassion from other members of our community, please call the Center to sign up for this session. Facilitated by Claire Solu-Burd, MSW.

TECH SUPPORT FOR SENIORS – Thursdays, Feb. 7 and Feb. 21, 3:15 – 4:15 p.m.  For assistance with your smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc., call the Center to schedule a one-on-one appointment with a Chatham High School student volunteer.

THE JOY OF BACKYARD BIRD FEEDING – Friday, Feb. 8 at 12:30 p.m. – Learn how to use bird food, feeders, water and shelter to attract the widest variety of birds, and tips on making your backyard bird-friendly. Presenter: Pete Axelrod, Wild Birds Unlimited, Scotch Palins. Sign-up required.

DEMENTIA CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP – Monday, Feb. 11, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Moderated by Phyllis Flemming, former Executive Director of Victorian Garden Adult Day Center and experienced dementia support group leader.

NUTRITION SERIES: Benefits of Plant-Based Foods – Tuesday, Feb. 12, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Presented by Tory Stroker, In-Store Dietitian, Shop Rite of Chatham. Please contact the Center to sign up.

INTERGENERATIONAL BUDDY PROGRAM – Wednesday, Feb. 13, 3:15-4:15 p.m. Ongoing series of monthly get-togethers where seniors and Chatham High School Key Club members connect while working on a craft project. Please sign up.

FICTION BOOK GROUP – Tuesday, Feb. 19 at noon. This month’s selection is ‘A Fall of Marigolds’ by Susan Meissner. New participants always welcome to join the conversation.

FREE BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENING – Thursday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

NON-FICTION BOOK GROUP – Friday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. This month’s selection is ‘Whatever You Do, Don’t Run’ by Peter Allison. New participants always welcome to join the conversation.

ACRYLIC PAINTING CLASS – Monday, Feb. 25, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Learn how to paint a beautiful winter landscape. All levels of ability welcome and all necessary supplies provided. Fee: $17.50. Instructor: Annette Lissy. Limited class size. Must sign up.

WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP – New workshop begins Thursday, February 28 at 10 a.m. – Noon. Taught by Ed Schuh. Cost is $50 for 6 classes. Call the Center to register and get a copy of the materials list.

CARNIVAL OF SOUND – Friday, Mar. 1, 12:30 p.m. – George Marriner Maull, Music Director of The Discovery Orchestra returns to the Center for a presentation of Hector Berlioz’s “Roman Carnival Overture,” first performed in 1844 to instant success and has remained one of Berlioz’s most popular works. Sign up required.
