Scotch Plains Announces Concerts on the Green
The Township of Scotch Plains is pleased to present two “Concerts on the Green” at the Alan Augustine Village Green this month.
The shows, featuring two hometown favorites, will be held on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm, with Eric Harrison’s Crash Course performing on July 16 and Billy Wilkins taking the stage on July 23.
Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. Pack a picnic or pick up dinner from one of our great restaurants and enjoy the summer nights in downtown Scotch Plains! We ask that all attendees adhere to social distancing guidelines. Areas on the Village Green, located adjacent to the municipal building on Park Avenue, will be marked and extra hand sanitizer and masks will be available.
“I think everyone understands that this year is so unlike any other,” said Councilwoman Elizabeth Stamler. “Being able to bring our concerts back is a great step to returning to normalcy in our community. Yes, things may appear different with enhanced social distancing that we will require for the event, but at the very heart of it, our concerts will remain a community event for our community’s entertainment. We look forward to hosting them.”
