Photography Exhibit in Honor of Women’s History Month

The Somerset County Library System of New Jersey’s (SCLSNJ) Watchung branch is hosting an exhibit, curated by Virginia Hartmann, Lieutenant Colonel, USAFR (retired), highlighting the Special Collections of the United States Air Force Academy Library in honor of Women’s History Month.

The exhibit, entitled “Preparing for Historic Change; Twelve Women Break Barriers at All-Male USAF Academy in 1976” will be on display at the branch throughout the months of February and March 2024.

Hartmann selected some of her favorite photos to print, frame, and display. This exhibit marks the first time these pictures have been seen by the public.

The Watchung branch is located at 12 Stirling Road in Watchung. To contact the Watchung branch, call (908) 458-8455 or email watchung@sclibnj.org. To discover all SCLSNJ has to offer, visit SCLSNJ.org or connect with SCLSNJ on FacebookX (formerly Twitter)Instagram, or YouTube.
