SCLSNJ is Your Ticket to Exploration and Adventure

Submitted by Tracy Carney

Throughout the month of May, the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey (SCLSNJ) will commemorate Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month with a series of interactive and educational programs.
“We are excited to have our Libraries highlight the diverse cultures and traditions of the Asian and Pacific Islander American communities,” said Jessica Trujillo, system youth services manager. “Patrons will have the opportunity to explore everything from Polynesian fire knife dancing, to Chinese and Japanese tea ceremonies. This series offers engaging programs for the whole family.”
The Library System is committed to continuing to educate Somerset County residents of all ages on the various cultures of the world through programs that celebrate diversity. Over 600 individuals explored the history and accomplishments of African-Americans during SCLSNJ’s last cultural series in February.
