Clark American Legion Post 328 Sons of American Legion (SAL)
The SAL has expanded their community involvement this year by sponsoring their first Clark Girls Softball Instructional team.
This team teaches pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade girls batting, base running and fielding techniques. The girls learn to hit off a tee for 2 innings and hit pitched balls from their coach, Karen Planas, for 2 innings. The SAL girls have nicknamed themselves the SAL Unicorns. They “played” 10 games against other instruction teams. All ten girls were very excited to play and look forward to playing next year. They all showed tremendous improvement.
