Rubber Ducky Race to Benefit New Providence and Berkeley Heights Residents

Submitted by Michelle Zack

The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights will sponsor the annual “Rubber Ducky Race” with festival family fun from noon to 4 p.m. at Passaic River Park, 151 Springfield Avenue, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, on Saturday, June 9, 2018. The Rubber Ducky race is a major fundraiser to reduce the costs to seniors for the Medical Alert system offered by the Berkeley Heights Rotary Club.  The alert system helps seniors who live at home in both New Providence and Berkeley Heights.
“Adoption” tickets costing $5 for each rubber ducky will be available for sale each Wednesday in May at meetings of the New Providence Senior Citizens Club, and also will be available for purchase 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays throughout the month of May at the DeCorso Community Center, 15 East Fourth Street in New Providence, New Jersey.
The grand prize this year is four box seats behind home plate at a Yankee home game valued at $1,000.  Additional prizes will be awarded for the fastest ducky swimmers on June 9!
