Rotarians pay tribe to Veterans during Appreciation lunch

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Rotary Club hosted a Veterans Appreciation lunch at their meeting on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Veterans in the towns of Fanwood and Scotch Plains were invited to attend.

Twelve veterans including 9 guests and 3 veterans who are members of the Rotary Club attended. Veteran and Rotarian Dick Dobyns spoke about his experience as WWII Air Force pilot in the Bay of Bengal. And he remembered 10 men who made the extreme sacrifice and never made it home.

This is an annual event. The Rotary Club is very grateful to all men and women who served the United States Armed Forces and they pay tribute to those who served, those who continue to serve, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Thank you to all the Veterans who joined us for lunch!
