Registration is Open for Volunteer Listener Training at Caring Contact

Are you looking for a flexible, rewarding volunteer opportunity?
Have you ever been told you are a good listener?
Do you have a yearning to really make a difference?

Become a Caring and Crisis Hotline Listener – you could save a life.

Volunteers receive 52 hours of comprehensive training in active listening, Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. You also are supported by seasoned listeners during 24 hours of internship before you answer calls on your own. Even once you are a certified listener, we provide a range of support and training opportunities so you can continue to develop your skills.

The training includes Mental Health First Aid and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) certifications in the cost.

Our next volunteer training will be held from September 12, 2018 – December 12, 2018, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. one evening weekly plus one full weekend.
