Got piles of broken crayons filling your junk drawer? Or, half boxes of used crayons collecting dust? Franklin Elementary School in Rahway wants them! As part of the school’s ongoing initiative of helping the community and those in need, they’re holding a used crayon drive from now until February 29, 2016.
Crayons can be placed in the donation box at the Rahway Recreation Center located at 275 E. Milton Avenue or if you have a child at Franklin School, they can place crayons in the donation box at the school. All forms of crayons are welcome. All brands, sizes and all types (washable/non washable). Even the ones in the twist up tubes. And, there is no need to sort or peel them.
Once all the crayons are collected, the student volunteers at Franklin School’s Blue and Gold Club will take the used crayons and recycle them into new crayons to be used by the student at the schools here in Rahway. Please consider helping them out with this great project.
Thank you for your support! Have a great day!
