New School Buses
The Rahway Public School District is excited to announce the purchase of six new school buses. This purchase is a game-changer for the district and its students, providing better transportation, more affordable field trips, and a more inclusive and equitable environment for each and every student.
The new buses will allow the district to transport students more efficiently and safely. They will also make it possible for various groups, such as all-city music and sports teams, to travel more cost-effectively. Additionally, the new buses will make field trips more affordable, as the district previously had to rent buses at a cost of close to $800 each.
Safety is a top priority for the Rahway Public School District. To ensure that students are prepared for any emergency, each school held safety drills. These drills teach students how to evacuate the bus quickly and safely in the event of a fire, accident, or other emergency. Bus drills are important because they help students learn the location and operation of the emergency exits on the bus, practice evacuating the bus in a calm and orderly manner, and become aware of the safety procedures that they should follow in an emergency. Bus drills also help to reduce student anxiety and stress in the event of a real emergency. By knowing what to do and how to do it, students are more likely to remain calm and safe.
“This is very exciting for everyone,” said Dr. Patrick Holness, the principal of Franklin School. “With the new buses, everyone will have wonderful opportunities and experiences.”
The Rahway Public School District is grateful for the support of the community in making this purchase possible. The new school buses will make a big difference in the lives of students and staff.
