Girl Scout Sara Walsh Works Toward Gold Award
Rahway Girl Scout Sara Walsh has been working toward her Gold Award this past year with the Alaris Health System in Rahway at their two facilities, Alaris Health at Riverton and Care Connection.
The residents at these two facilities have been spending time with young visitors from Merck/ECYC kindergarten and local Daisy Girl Scout Troop 40275. The residents and children have been building relationships and learning about one another through reading together, playing bingo and participating in other seasonal activities and holiday events. The residents and children both look forward to their time together. The groups quickly got comfortable with one another and it has been very rewarding to see the bonds that were built between the different generations. The residents look forward to the children’s visits and the children excitedly come in to greet them and spend some time together.
