Rahway Elks Veterans Committee Luncheon
The Rahway Elks Veterans Service Committee recently hosted a luncheon at the Firehouse Restaurant for 16 Veterans, staff, and aides from the Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park. Nine Elks members also volunteered their time to help assist vets from the bus into the restaurant and have some meaningful conversations with our countries’ heroes. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of food, drink, and pleasant conversation.
Elks pledge “So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.” Across the country and in our local community, thousands of Elks volunteers give generously of their time, energy and resources to serve Veterans and military members each day, to ensure that pledge is not an idle one.
