The Rahway Chamber of Commerce’s (RCC) Second Annual Fashion Show and Silent Auction was held Sunday, January 28, 2018, at the Firehouse Pub and Grill, 455 St. George Avenue, Rahway, New Jersey.
Over 60 people attended. The event was emceed by Karen and Rick Pasek of Karickter (karickter.com). The clothing in the fashion show was provided by Dress Barn of Clark, located in the Clark Commons Shopping Center. Models who participated in the event were: Patricia Kozlowski, Astrid Zuniga, Serena Ramos, Alexis Carter, Keren Lebron, Kaleigh Marquez, Marie Santamaria, Sylvia Lubalin, and Sabrina Elson.
Audra Loccisano, President of the RCC said, “I am extremely appreciative of everyone who attended the event and donated an auction item. The RCC’s mission is to promote well-being in Rahway for the businesses and the community in general. We are an active group of volunteers who take great pride in putting together events and programs such as this and our upcoming event, Rahway Day.”
Auction items were donated by: K&K Recognition; Watt Hotel; RWJUH Foundation; Pixie Willow Candles; Rahway Food for Friends; Mr. B Printing; Walter Makarucha-Edward Jones Investments; Garden Spelle Northfield Bank; Samesel and Associates; Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum; TD Bank; Legends Entertainment; The Irving Inn; Audra Loccisano of Re/Max Select; The Waiting Room; Witty’s Fine Wine & Liquors; Unity Bank; and Rahway Fried Chicken.
Close to $4000 was raised to benefit Rahway’s local food pantry, Rahway Food for Friends (RFFF). RFFF has been serving the community of Rahway for over 20 years. RFFF Soup Kitchen serves meals every Saturday at First Presbyterian Church located at 1731 Church Street in Rahway. Their food pantry gives out food every third Monday and Tuesday of the month at Seventh Day Adventist Church located 1221 New Brunswick Avenue in Rahway. They also have a Diabetic Program every third Monday of the month at 1221 New Brunswick Avenue, Rahway.
The Rahway Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, volunteer organization that invests time and money to carry forward programs relevant to members’ needs and strive to help with the orderly growth and development of the community. Our members include a federation of business, industrial and professional firms, residents, organizations and interested individuals working together to enhance the economic and socioeconomic health of the community.
