A Carnival Day to Remember
Submitted by Lauren Battiato
The Rahway 7th & 8th Grade Academy buzzed with excitement on June 11th, as the school hosted an epic Carnival Day celebration. The festivities kicked off in the morning, with seventh graders taking the lead and enjoying a vibrant array of carnival attractions. From thrilling inflatables like a water slide and a trampoline bungee jump to classic favorites like face painting and temporary tattoos, there was something for everyone.
Meanwhile, the eighth graders embarked on a momentous walk to Rahway High School, participating in promotion practice, a significant milestone on their journey to becoming high schoolers. Upon their return to the Academy, they were welcomed back with open arms and the chance to join in on the carnival fun.
Students bounced on the inflatables, battled it out in laser tag, and faced off in the obstacle course, complete with swinging boulders! Sweet treats like cotton candy and ice cream from So Delicious kept everyone smiling, while upbeat music filled the air.
A huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Jones and the Academy staff for planning and organizing this wildly successful event. Their efforts ensured that Carnival Day was a roaring success, providing a safe, memorable, and enjoyable experience for all the Academy students and staff. It was a perfect way to celebrate the close of a successful school year and create lasting memories for the Academy’s rising 8th graders.
