Positive Behavior Support in Schools

On Friday, September 4, 2015, Roosevelt School in Rahway, kicked off the PBSIS  (Positive Behavior Support in Schools) year with an assembly program on their playground. Students and staff recited their alma mater, sang their PBSIS chant, and ended by dancing the Cuban Shuffle. The Roosevelt School mascot, Tracker the Bear, welcomed students back to school. An extra special event this year was the Ticket Blaster. Each grade level chose a teacher to represent that grade level and had a chance to win an ice pop party for that grade level. Mr. Chris Delloiacono won for the 3rd grade by entering the Ticket Blaster and collecting the most tickets.
The mission of Roosevelt School PBSIS is to promote positive, inclusive school community. Students make responsible choices, empowering them to reach their fullest social, emotional and academic potential.
