Pickle Ball Tournament Benefits CVES

Submitted by Susan Alacchi

The Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad (CVES) was the recipient of a generous donation from a pickle ball tournament organized by Johnny Silvestri. He promoted the event to give back to the community. It was well attended, offering prizes to players. It ran for two days and everyone had a great time. Those attending said this was fun and hope to have a repeat.

CVES was very grateful for not only the generous donation but also that Silvestri had considered our organization as a recipient. The president of the squad, John-Henry Barr, said, “The CVES thanks Johnny Silvestri and the Clark community for the donation from the Clark pickle ball tournament.” A $875.00 check was delivered to the squad on December 11. This donation will be used to obtaining specialized equipment for pediatric patients, trauma management, as well as continual education for our members in such areas as defibrillation, pre-hospital trauma and pediatric emergencies.  In addition, we will utilize your donation to ensure that the ambulances are in the best condition possible, as well as the squad house.

CVES is always looking for members. We will guide you through the process and help you succeed. If you want to give back to the community and have a few hours a week to spare that will give a great feeling, please email us at CVES@ourclark.com for an application.
