Patriotic Readings at the Reeve House

(above) On Monday, July 4th, at 10 a.m., join The Westfield Historical Society for patriotic readings from the porch of the Reeve House. All are invited for this 20-30 minute program.

Kick off Independence Day with patriotic readings. At 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4th, the Westfield Historical Society will hold 20-30 minutes of patriotic readings broadcast from the porch of the Reeve House at 314 Mountain Avenue. The public is invited as are scouts and patriotic organizations. 

Plans are to have a flag ceremony and singing of the National Anthem to begin the program. Followed by the recorded readings: The Declaration of Independence; Original Bill of Rights; and Lincoln’s second inaugural address.

Since 1968, the 501(c)(3) non-profit Westfield Historical Society has worked to preserve, interpret, and encourage interest in history, Westfield, and its residents through educational efforts and community outreach programs.
