Boy Scouts of America’s Patriots’ Path Council will be honoring local citizens at the 8th Annual New Providence Good Scout Award Dinner to be held on the evening of Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at The Primavera Regency in Stirling at 6:30 p.m. This year’s honorees are Jack Flood, Alma DeMetropolis, Captain Theresa Gazaway, Mayor Al Morgan, and Robert L. Muñoz.
The event recognizes these five outstanding citizens for their community service, as evidenced by their leadership and interests within the New Providence community, and for their embodiment of the values of the century old Scout Oath and Law in their personal and professional lives. The event chair is past New Providence Good Scout Award Recipient Gary Kapner of Creative Wall Coverings & Interiors.
Jack Flood is the incoming Watchung Mountain District Chairman and former Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 1. Alma Demetropolis is a Managing Director at JP Morgan Chase and New Jersey Market President, MLT at Asset Wealth Management. Theresa Gazaway is the Captain of the New Providence Police Department. Al Morgan is the Mayor of the Borough of New Providence and is a Past Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 263. Robert L. Muñoz is a councilman in the Borough of New Providence and is the Committee Chair of Boy Scout Troop 63.
New Providence is a part of the Patriots’ Path Council, Boy Scouts of America which serves 17,000 youth in over 400 Scouting units in communities throughout Morris, Middlesex, Somerset, Sussex, and Union Counties.
