Positive Aging
Tuesday, October 4
A workshop to explore ways to thrive at any age. Led by author, therapist and psychology coach Diane Lang, the program will offer perspective on aging, discuss the truths and myths about aging and cultivate a positive approach to future years and the possibilities that are presented at each stage of life. 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the Mountainside Public Library, 1 Constitution Plaza, Mountainside.This program is possible with support by Blanche M. and George L. Caregiver Support Group for Spouses
Monday, October 8 and Monday, October 22 (meets every other week)
A support group for caregivers is led by Licensed Clinical Social Worker and InfoCare Manager Kathy Larkin. The group covers topics such as coping with caregiver emotions and managing stress, navigating care options, and defining our roles as caregivers. Pre-registration is required for this free group. Caregiver Support Group for Adult Children
Monday, October 8 and Monday, October 22 (meets every other week)
A support group for adult children who act as their parents’ caregivers is led by Licensed Clinical Social Worker and InfoCare Manager Kathy Larkin. The group covers topics such as balancing work and the needs of their families, long-distance caregiving, family conflicts, finding resources, and navigating the healthcare system. Making Important Health Care Decisions

Michele Cameron, a nurse with Atlantic Home Care and Hospice, will lead a discussion about the importance of having an Advance Directive, the new “POLST” form and why it is important to discuss your wishes with your loved ones. What is Happening to Medicare 2019
Tuesday, October 16 and Wednesday, October 31
Get all of your questions answered including: different plan options, when and how to make changes and how to choose the right prescription. PLANS CHANGE EVERY YEAR, as do your needs. It is important to evaluate your needs for the upcoming year during the annual enrollment period. This program will explain the changes and what you need to know. Finding Happiness at Any Age
