North Plainfield Youth Sports Association Hosts the 12th Annual Ralph Cammarota Memorial Golf Outing

Submitted by Joe Pisaniello

North Plainfield Youth Sports Association hosts a golf outing annually to benefit the youth organization, which serves as a booster group for North Plainfield’s travel baseball, travel softball, and travel boys/girls basketball teams. The money raised from the event, is used for league entry fees, uniforms, equipment, officiating, tournaments entry fees and a recognition dinner for each team. NPYSA also funds running baseball and softball clinics that take place in the gyms of North Plainfield schools during the winter months and appear to be very successful.
NPYSA has hosted the annual golf outing for over 30 years. In 2006 the outing name was changed to honor and remember the late Ralph Cammarota, a longtime resident and dedicated volunteer who passed away suddenly in 2005. Ralph was probably one of the best volunteers we have had in the organization.
The cost of this year’s outing is $150 per person/$600 per foursome which includes 18 holes of golf in a four-person scramble format with cart as well as a continental breakfast and an Italian buffet lunch in the Royce Brook Country Club Pavilion; there will be a cash and carry beverage cart on the course for the entire round and a cash bar during lunch. The event will also include awards as well as a 50/50 drawing and prizes. Registration and breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. followed by an 8:30 a.m. shot gun start. Hole sponsorships are also available for $75.
The entry commitment date for the 12th Annual Ralph Cammarota Memorial Golf Outing is June 22, 2018.
Royce Brook Country Club is located at 201 Hamilton Road, Hillsborough Township. For additional information, contact Joe Pisaniello, tournament director, at 908-295-7489 or joepisaniello@hotmail.com.
