Linden Students get a lesson from New Jersey Audubon Naturalists

On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 7th grade students from McManus School in Linden had the opportunity to enjoy the New Jersey Audubon Naturalists who presented an amazing program in the Hawk Rise Sanctuary environmental setting.  The students discussed tides and interconnected waterways at Kings Creek, identified a variety of plant and animal life and learned to respect and protect their environment.

Hawk Rise Sanctuary, which is located off Lower Road in Linden, is open to the public all year and the Audubon Society runs various programs throughout the year.  The infamous “Hawk Rise Goes Batty” will take place in the evening on Friday, July 12, 2019, from 8:00 – 9:30 p.m. No registration is required.
