Niagara, the Falls and the River – April 17th

Niagara, the Falls and the River

College Club of Fanwood-Scotch Plains

Kevin Woyce is a life time resident of the garden state, an author and photographer who specializes in regional American history.

He has written books about lighthouses, New Jersey State Parks, Niagara Falls, the Statue of Liberty and favorite Christmas traditions. His books are illustrated with his original black & white photographs plus some vintage images.

On April 17th he will present Niagara, the Falls and the River. His program will explore the history of the Niagara Falls region- from Native American legends to modern-day parks and attractions. Attendees will meet the area’s explorers and settlers, the daredevils who risked their lives for fame and fortune, the businessmen who harnessed the Falls’ power, and the conservationists and visionaries who saved the Falls for generations of visitors. The program will be illustrated with Woyce’s original photographs and historic images.

The program is free and the public is invited to attend on April 17th at Fanwood Presbyterian Church, 74 Martine Avenue (McDermott Street entrance) at 7:30 p.m.
