Fishing Derby – April 16
The Newark Bait & Fly Casting Club will celebrate its 40th Anniversary by stocking the Lower Echo Lake in Westfield on Saturday, April 16. Sign up begins at 7 a.m., fish will be stocked between 8 – 9 a.m. All are invited to attend this free event. Participants fish in the lake; bait will be supplied, pols will be available if needed, and prizes will be awarded to children in winning categories.
An individual, family, or business can sponsor a trout, which can run from $6.50 to $80 depending upon the size. Contact Robert L. Jones at 908-325-6657 to sponsor a trout.
