Steak Dinner – April 23
The Clark American Legion Auxiliary Unit 328, located on Westfield Ave., will host its first fundraiser of 2022 on April 23 starting at 6 p.m. A mere $20 is all you need to enjoy a grilled steak, potato and salad dinner, dessert included. A cash bar will be available.
The fundraiser will enable the Auxiliary to assist area vets. One project is a donation to the New Jersey Memorial Veterans Home located in Menlo Park to give residents a free coupon to purchase items at the in-house canteen at the home. Veterans and their wives at the Veteran’s Home enjoy many activities including bingo, trivia games and musical events. Afterwards they can visit the canteen and have coffee, pastries, burgers, and fries. The Auxiliary will donate funds to distribute free coupons to be used by the residents. A second project donates funds to the Women’s Wing at Lyons Hospital to provide an afternoon of coffee and cake to the residents.
It’s been a few years since the ALA of Clark has been able to raise funds for projects such as this. Please join us on April 23rd, at the Clark American Legion Post 328 on Westfield Avenue, Clark for a fun evening with friends and help us to brighten the lives of our area veterans!
