New Providence Senior Citizens Club Honors Fred Gaghan

Submitted by Michelle Zack

The New Providence Seniors Citizens Club celebrated its 59th anniversary with a luncheon at the Primavera Regency on May 23, 2018.  At the luncheon, the Club honored long-time member Fred Gaghan, who was unanimously selected by the Board of Trustees as the Club’s 2018 Volunteer Honoree in recognition of his many years of service to New Providence seniors. Mr. Gaghan, a former member of the New Providence Fire Department and former Fire Inspector for the Borough, also volunteered his time for many years to install smoke detectors in the homes of New Providence seniors, and to check and replace batteries in seniors’ smoke detectors.
