Fall events @ NPML kick off with a meeting of the
Thursday Evening Book Club on
9/7 at 7:30PM.
They are reading House of Earth by Woody Guthrie. All are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the front desk.

The Baseball Club resumes its regular schedule of monthly meetings on
Monday, 9/11 at 7PM.
Anybody with an interest in baseball is welcome to come and talk about your favorite team, players or just listen.

On Saturday, 9/16 at 2PM Heidi Sussman and Nancy Ori will be talking about their current exhibit in the library gallery entitled “Mixed Media Magic:
The Magical Effects of Encaustics” and the artistic process of combining photography with mixed media techniques. After the talk, there will be an artists’ reception.

The Knitting Club resumes it regular schedule of meetings on
Monday, 9/18 at 7PM.
Bring a project you are working on or get instruction on a knitting or crocheting project you would like to start.

The Thursday Morning Book Group also kicks off the Fall season on
Thursday, 9/21 T 10AM
with a discussion of The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert. All are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the front desk.

Join us Saturday 9/23 at 11AM
for a lecture on
“Crafting the Perfect College Essay.”

The Non-Fiction Book Group has its Fall meeting on
Tuesday, 9/26 at 7:30
with a discussion of “Hillbilly Elegy” by J.D. Vance. All are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the front desk.

Finally, in honor of National Talk Like a Pirate Day, come to an informative and entertaining talk about Pirates of the Atlantic on Tuesday, 9/28 at 7:30PM
given by Dr. Jonathan Mercantini, Acting Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Kean University.

As always, there is a full schedule of movies available. This month, featured movies are Lion, The Zookeeper’s Wife, Going in Style and Norman. See the library calendar on our website for full dates, times and descriptions.

For the younger set, there are Story times and baby lapsits on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Bigger kids, i.e. 4, 5, 6 have a special story time on Tuesdays and Thursdays that includes a craft. And don’t forget about Lego Club,
now on the 4th Tuesday of the month @ 3:30
in the Coddington Room.
