New Partnership for Student Job Training

Millburn Township Public Schools

The Millburn High School Student Life Experience (SLE) program has recently begun a new business partnership for their job training program with the CBI Preschool at Congregation B’nai Israel. The job training program at Millburn High School seeks to help students to learn valuable skills on the jobsite. The partnership with the preschool has been a great opportunity for Thomas Neiman, a student who is interested in working in an early childhood education program. He is gaining valuable skills and making great strides by being onsite in the classroom.

Rabbi Julie Schwarzwald, Director of Congregational Learning at Congregation B’nai Israel, says, “CBI Preschool embraces the opportunity to partner with the job training program as a positive experience for all involved. We are excited to be able to be a part of it.”

Millburn High School’s Job Training Program partners with the following local businesses:  CVS, Millburn Board of Education, Summit YMCA, Taste Buddy, Maplewood Cleaners, Farmers Insurance, Master Pizza, Millburn Camera  and Walgreens. They are always looking for additional opportunities for the students so if you would like to learn more, please reach out to Roger Askins, Transition Coordinator/Study Skills Teacher, at roger.askins@millburn.org.
