Musicians Sought for Third Annual Banding Together Fundraiser

Musicians Sought for Banding Together Fundraiser

Musicians near and far with big talent and big hearts are being sought for a week-long virtual concert fundraiser supporting services for people with disabilities and youth at risk.

Community Access Unlimited is looking for artists to perform in the third annual Banding Together fundraiser from March 28th to April 1st. Artists should send their submission videos to Saranya Thana, Director of Fundraising, at sthana@caunj.org, by February 11th to apply.

The nightly Banding Together virtual concerts are enjoyed by CAU members, staff, family, and supporters. CAU is a Union County-based, statewide nonprofit that works to integrate people with disabilities and youth at risk into the general community through comprehensive supports.

Proceeds from the concert benefit programs such as emergency housing, continuing education, and job readiness training that help thousands of CAU members lead more full and self-directed lives in the community.

Past performers include singers Chrissie Limos and Natalie Imani, as well as Jersey City-based band, Apollo Sonders.

“Opportunities as a band have been few and far between for the past year,” Bassist Nick Geremia told CAU last year. “This event let us keep our chops up as a band while supporting Community Access.”

Donations to CAU can be made at caunj.org/support-us.

“We’re glad to bring this event back for a third great year,” Thana said. “It’s an opportunity to show off talent from New Jersey and beyond, while spreading the word of CAU’s impact.”
