Mountainside PTA Fall Fest

On Saturday October 15th, the Mountainside PTA held its annual Fall Festival at the Deerfield School. Students and their families gathered in the field next to the school, where rides, attractions, games, and a dance contest were set up for a fun-filled afternoon. Patrons had the opportunity of enjoying delicious foods from their local businesses or hotdogs provided by the Mountainside PTA, with the purchase of a ticket. The event lasted from 12 – 4 p.m. and attendees enjoyed music from The Spinners, who have been providing tunes for the event for 15 years.
The Mountainside Police were also present at the Fall Fest, ready to meet the public they serve. They brought their special canine officer along, who was very popular among the crowd. Kids lined up eagerly to pet the friendly police dog.
The Fall Festival also held a Tricky Tray event, where student participants had the opportunity to win several yummy grand prizes like, Ice Cream Social, at Scoops, after school with Mrs. Hain or Pizza lunch with Ms. Ianniello and the Kindergarten Team. Kids weren’t the only ones with the chance of winning a prize, some lucky parents won French Nail Gift card, Hair bar Basket, and many more prizes.
The end of the Fall Festival witnessed many satisfied community members. The PTA has a been a consistent organization, when it comes to hosting these community events. In the recent past they have hosted ice cream socials and pool parties for their students.
