Mount St. Mary’s Euro Challenge Team Attend Institute At Ru

On February 24, twelve freshmen and sophomores from the Euro Challenge team at Mount Saint Mary Academy participated at the Euro Challenge Institute at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. The Euro Challenge is an academic competition for ninth and tenth graders to learn about the European Union and the euro.
The students presented and received comments from three judges in preparation for the regional competition on March 14. The quality of the information they presented as well as their presentation skills were evaluated. According to Kathleen Brennan, math chair at Mount Saint Mary Academy, the judges were especially impressed by the level of knowledge the students demonstrated about their topic and the research they performed.
