Morning With The Mayor

The Long Hill Chamber of Commerce held there second “Morning with Mayor” event on Friday, September 15th. The event was hosted by The Millington Station Cafe, and afforded chamber members the opportunity to hear first hand from the mayor about issues facing the township, and also to ask questions relative to the business community. Some of the topics covered were Downtown Stirling parking issues, the waste water proposal, the planning board process, fair share housing, and property taxes. “It was great that Mayor Schuler took the time to answer our questions and address our concerns”,  said Chamber President Michelle Cavett of Soo Bahk Do Karate. The chamber plans to have more meetings with the mayor in the future, as well as other networking and “lunch and learn” events.
The next chamber sponsored event is Millington Downtown Day on Sunday, October 15. To find out more information about the chamber and upcoming events, visit www.longhillchamber.com
